Biography
Carly is an NYC-based actress from small-town Kelso, Missouri.
Her love affair with performing began one night, long ago, when her Dad brought home a couple beloved movies from his childhood; VHS copies (ha) of South Pacific, and Oklahoma!. Carly was hooked. Shortly after, she ran through the movie musical stock at all the local video rental stores. Then she was one of the first in her area to utilize Netflix, soaking up all the Technicolor MGM/Warner Bros magic she could get her hands on. Furthering her MT education, Carly spent years making her little sister Courtney listen to OBC albums, and eventually Sirius XM's "On Broadway" during the drives to and from school.
To this day, Carly remains hooked, and Courtney has a true appreciation for musical theatre (which Carly takes complete credit for, and no small amount of pride in).
Carly went on to graduate from Missouri State University with her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre, and has been traveling the country pursuing a performance career ever since! She was most recently seen playing Millie in her third consecutive national tour of A Christmas Carol. Other favorite roles include Beth in Little Women, Penny Pingleton in Hairspray, Sister James in Doubt, June/Junie/Jeune/etc in The Musical of Musicals, and originating the role of Sister in Broadway composer Nathan Tysen's original musical Noah's Art.
When not performing, Carly reads voraciously, calls her sister, drinks good wine, and enjoys entertaining/feeding friends like a proper 1950s housewife--apron included.
